Ready to go camping and you have spend the last few weeks trying to get all your camping stuff ready for a nice 10 days camping away from all the daily stress and noise. You have been out buying the newest in camping sleeping bags so you will get a good nights sleep without getting cold or wet and well satisfied you are on your way just to realize that when you go to sleep at night you have problems keeping warm in your new Camping sleeping bag and that is with a temperature range all the way down to -5 Celsius and it has not even been below 0 degrees. Even trying out with warmer clothes is not doing any difference and things are just not working out as expected.
A thing that may very well puzzle many campers is why there brand new camping sleeping bags do not keep them warm at night – What are we doing wrong? Most of the times it is quite simple and with a fast look at the sleeping pad you know. The sleeping pads gets no attention compared to the camping sleeping bags and this is why so many campers face problems with keeping warm at night when camping in colder areas.
Campers are all different but many campers tend to find the inflatable sleeping pads the best solution for sleeping on the ground with the right camping sleeping bags. The inflatable once might be great sleeping on but as for keeping the cold from you it might not be the best solution. The air in the sleeping pad has to be kept warm by your body temperature and that is no easy in cold conditions. That is why I would never recommend that you use an inflatable pad.
When you need to choose the right sleeping pad for your camping sleeping bags the first thing to do is to have a look at where you are going to camp and then from there make a wise selection. I would get a simple sleeping pad that are not inflatable because these cause way to many problems if you do not choose the right one. You should also try out your sleeping pad before you go camping to make sure you do not get out there and things are not working because one cold night can really do some damage.
Will it make any difference if you go with a slim sleeping pad? Yes if you have to carry all your own camping stuff your self you will really have to make sure you do not carry to much and a slim pad will be a good solution unless you get an aching back after just one night in your camping sleeping bags.
Many people want to try things out for them selves but going camping with the wrong camping sleeping bags, sleeping pad or any other camping stuff will eventually ruin a good camping with the family. I really hope you will listen to my advice and make sure you get a perfect experience with the family.
