The one that started the soft-plastic stick bait revolution. Loaded with salt to both add weight and flavor, the Senko has consistently been a top producer in the professional circuits. Senko worms are worth every bit of the hype. Blue Pearl Silver is my absolute go-to color in murky water. Keep in mind that these worms are not blue at all. The sheen in the sun has a bluish tint, but it is almost negligible, especially in murky water. Just watching these fall weightless is amazing. The wobble is almost magic.

My only gripes are price and lack of durability. The lack of durability I will attribute to the action. Similar stick worms do not have the same action; bottom line. But I can go through two packs of these in a day no problem. The price bothers me only because it continues to increase steeply over time. I understand simple supply and demand, but many fisherman are literally priced out of using these amazing baits, and that’s just bad for the sport. Other stick worms are still good, but nothing truly mimics a Senko.

Purchase with confidence, as they are truly one of the most effective baits ever put to market. But buyer beware; you will go through them pretty quick on a Texas-rig.

When asked what bait he’s using, my husband will reply, “the Gary Yamamoto black worm of death.”. Lol. We both have been fishing all summer and have used a variety of different color worms. Without question, the black ones have been the top producer and we have two shelves stocked with bass in our upright freezer to prove it. I even caught a northern with one! A close second would be black with blue flake and then a speckled watermelon green color. I do wish they were a bit more durable but I really can’t complain when we catch up to 5-6 fish on one worm. They get pretty chewed up but still work great. A must have for bass!

Fish loved it, but each senko only lasted for about 1 fish before falling off the hook, into the water, never to be used again. Each time I caught a fish the fish shook the senko off the hook. I plan to buy some senko o-rings so that each senko will last longer.
FYI- I get more bites with these senko a than any other bait I have ever used.
