I RARELY give bad reviews but this is the worst grilling stand ever. Absolutely no support and thanks to the adjustable nature of this beast, it just let’s your grill fall right through with the slightest touch-not a good thing when your grill is lit and has the potential to start a fire. We got the Coleman PerfectFlow Insta Start Grill Stove which is a fairly large grill for it’s class but the skinny “rubber” parts on this stand are just on the legs that extend across the top and really don’t hold the grill well unless you have a really tiny & light grill. None the less, it’s REALLY easy to tip this thing over! The whole thing is incredibly wobbly which is my main concern- when my husband tried to imitate turning the grill on (in our living room) by turning the knobs (no propane attached), it caused the whole thing to collapse and since then I’ve tried to get the width of the stand just right that it doesn’t cause the entire grill to go crashing to the ground but haven’t had any luck! I really wanted this thing to work and gave it every chance but it is very flawed and I can’t imagine the danger for kids running around it. I wish we would have just put our money towards an extra fold up aluminium table like the table in a bag; that thing is awesome and versatile (excellent for cards or eating dinner with 4 people. It’s not perfect stability but MUCH better than the coleman stand (I own them both!) and you have to sacrifice a little stability for comparability.

It works, but you’re always one bump away from a real problem., February 4, 2013

I’ve used these stands for several years now for both my camping grill and stove. When all is said and done, they do work, but you have to be very careful when using them. On the plus side, they’re very lightweight, pack up small, and are adjustable. The problem is they are also a bit flimsy. With no back or tabletop, your grill or stove rests gingerly across two thin beams. With the lid open and a propane tank attached, most grills and stoves are already a far cry from balanced. Toss in a rickety stand and some uneven ground and you’ve got a very hot balancing act on your hands. A modest bump would be enough to send your stove or grill crashing to the ground. I’ve had a few close calls and I’m generally pretty careful. Had my grill fall once before it was lit. Would recommend it only for those times where portability matters and there’s nothing sturdier available to work with. Have since bought a Coleman Pack-Away Kitchen. It’s not perfect, but the beams are definitely more secure and stable.

Purchased this in May 2016 to hold my Coleman camp stove. When I spread it out, there was no way to “lock” mine into place as some have noted. There is nothing on the legs to lock. They just slide up but won’t stay in place. So, to keep it sturdy, I purchased small hose clamps and slid them over the legs. Spread the stand apart and tighten the clamps down. Now I have a sturdy stand but I still don’t trust it to hold my stove so I have a piece of plywood over the top. Didn’t bother to send it back. Not worth the effort. Impulse buy.
